Manguesh Temple |
Manguesh Temple is Temple dedicated Sri Manguesh(Lord Shiva).According to the legend says that Goddess Parvati came here in search of Lord shiva and The Lord came infront of her in the form of Sri Mangesh.

The temple is located on a hillock, amidst hills that look lush and verdant even today..The greenery surrounding this temple is mind soothing.
The oldest part of the temple complex is the water tank in front of the temple. At the entrance to the temple is a majestic lamp tower, one of the special architectural features of many Goan temples.

A few kilometers further is Sri Mahalsa temple which predates the Portuguese rule of Goa and houses Lakshmi, goddess of wealth & property.Lata Mangeshkar and her family are supposed to be very closely associated with the Mangeshi Temple.

During the temple festival, which generally takes place in the last week of January or the first week of February, the deities are taken out in a chariot in a procession. The chariot is kept on the right side of the temple is worth seeing.
