Khed Railway Station is on the railway line connecting Panvel with Chiplun. The Khed Taluka is surrounded on east by Satara, south by Chiplun and west by Dapoli. It lines in Inland and has no sea border. Itis very rugged and hilly with a large proportion of rocky and almost barren land. The Khed city is a taluka headquarters and a big market place.
