Chapora Fort
A visit to Chapora Fort is worth it for the lovely views of the beaches and countryside.Enjoy spectacular views of the sea, swaying coconut and palm trees, sun, sand, and greenery from the ramparts of Chapora Fort.

It is a 500 years old fort, built by the Portuguese. The fort is situated on a small hill and is all built with red stones.


Chapora Fort is a 10-minute drive from Vagator Beach and provides lovely views of Vagator and Anjuna beaches on one side and Morjim beach on the other.

Chapora has no beach, only some murky swamps but is the nearest Goan village and buzzes with freaks on motorbikes heading down to the juice bars. This is the nearest place you can get any genuine local food and freaks buzz down here at night to hang out and drink beers.
